Georgie Barnard Veterinary Physiotherapy
Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, it is required for Veterinary Physiotherapists to receive consent from your veterinary practice if they are injured, in pain or suffering dysfunction/performance reduction. Maintenance cases are not obligated to receive consent, however please be aware if an issue is found the physiotherapist may be required to end the session. A referral form can be found under 'How to Book' and must be completed prior to the session for those injured or suffering performance reductions/changes. GBVP also requires owners to fill out and sign an owner consent form, found in the amendment section, which must be completed before the start of the appointment.

If you are claiming veterinary physiotherapy through your insurance company, please ensure you make contact with your insurer prior to your appointment and have received approval.

3. Cancellations
GBVP maintains a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee. In the event of an emergency, the application of this charge remains at the discretion of GBVP.
4. Privacy Policy
For insurance purposes, GBVP is required to keep records for 7 years. during this time electronic copies will be kept password protected and paper copies will be stored in a locked file. You are able to request to see your animal's files at any time. GBVP may be required to discuss your animal and share session history with your veterinarian.
5. Payment
Payment is required at the time of the appointment by cash or BACS. Late payment may incur a small fee at the discretion of GBVP.
6. Unsafe or Unsuitable Animals
GBVP has the right to refuse or stop a session if the animal is deemed as dangerous or requiring further veterinary treatment. Please note you may still be required to pay up to 50% of the session price (including mileage).
